We adopted Bean in November 2025 just before Thanksgiving. We knew when we adopted him as a hospice cat that he was very sick, but hoped he would be with us for a while. It was only 5 weeks, until right after Christmas. Over the time we had him, he gained weight and his coat lost its dandruff and become soft and shiny, almost like velvet. He loved being brushed and pet – you could not give him enough chin rubs! At times he would roll over and let us rub his belly. And he quickly learned that the refrigerator was the magic box with the delicious turkey treats. Despite the short time together, his loving and gentle soul found a way deeply into our hearts. We cherish every moment we had with him.
