As an Adoption Counselor you will spend your work days getting to know our adoptable animals, talking with visitors and prospective adopters, matching animals to new families, processing animal surrender and stray intake appointments and processing adoption paperwork—sometimes all at the same time! The Shelter Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the animal shelter, including adoption center initiatives and community-based animal programs related to our mission. The Shelter Manager position is a full-time, exempt position with a work week of Tuesday-Saturday and includes administrative, supervisory, and personnel-related duties. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable with change and ambiguity, be able to operate calmly in emotionally charged environments, and work toward long-term goals while managing daily challenges.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience in an animal welfare organization or equivalent experience and will have at least 2 years managerial experience. Documented within this experience will need to be demonstrated success managing staff. Excellent computer literacy, data manipulation, and oral and electronic communication skills required and familiarity with Pet Point preferred.

We are seeking a part-time veterinarian to provide weekly (1-3 hours per week) routine medical care to shelter animals. Duties include performing wellness exams and establishing treatment plans, providing rabies vaccines, euthanasia as necessary, and supporting of shelter’s full-time vet tech in managing herd health.
