Meet Maxi!
Maxi is an 8-year-old sweetheart with a heart as big as her love for blankets. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to curl up with for movie nights, Maxi is ready to claim her spot right beside you—or more accurately, underneath the blanket with you! If you don’t lift the blanket for her, she’ll happily nose her way under. Snuggling is truly her favorite pastime.
This affectionate girl forms deep bonds with her people and has a wonderful way of knowing when you need a little extra love. Feeling sad? Maxi will be right there with gentle kisses and comforting cuddles. Once you’ve earned her trust, she’ll become your devoted shadow and faithful best friend.
Maxi is smart, eager to learn, and highly food motivated, making training both fun and rewarding. She is crate trained and knows several commands, including sit, down, wait, left paw, right paw, and patiently waits for her meals until she’s told “okay.” She also loves spending time outdoors exploring, sniffing, and enjoying the fresh air.
Like many rescue dogs, Maxi has experienced trauma in her past and thrives with consistency, structure, and an experienced owner who understands sensitive dogs. She would do best in a calm, predictable home as the only pet, without young children. Because of her strong prey drive, she should not live with cats or small dogs, and she enjoys outdoor adventures best on leash or in a securely fenced area.
Maxi’s ideal family will appreciate the incredible bond she offers in return for patience and understanding. She may not be the right fit for every home, but for the person willing to give her the peaceful environment she deserves, Maxi will reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and some of the very best blanket snuggles you’ll ever experience.
