Willow Mae is part of Homeward Bound’s 3rd Party Adoption listing for privately-owned Vermont animals. Pets posted for 3rd Party Adoption are not at the shelter. Homeward Bound staff has not seen or evaluated these pets and all information provided is as described by the owner. For any questions or to make an appointment to meet Willow Mae, please contact her current owner, Krista, at kristamccann2@gmail.com or 802-349-8559.

Willow Mae is a spayed 3-year old Shih Tzu/Yorkshire Terrier mix. According to her owner, the only known medical condition is an itchy ear, but that she is current on her vaccines.

Her owner reports that Willow Mae is very active, friendly to visitors, talkative, affectionate and has a high prey drive, which does not make for a peaceful environment for the family cat. Willow Mae has not yet mastered the art of potty-training and she is not crate-trained. She enjoys playing with stuffed toys, and balls, Frisbees, etc. and being walked.

Children have not been a part of Willow Mae’s life so far, so it is unknown how she would be around them. She has lived with another dog.

Willow Mae will bark for as long as she is left alone in the home. Her family lives in an apartment complex and the barking is not something the neighbors are crazy about. Her owner needs to re-home Willow Mae into an environment where she will feel safe with a family who would spend time with her and provide exercise, affection and potty/crate training on a consistent basis.

If you have questions about Willow Mae or would like to make an appointment to meet her, please call Krista and the contact information above.
