Meet Sumo!
Sumo is a handsome 2-year-old black and white Husky with a heart as big as his name. He’s surprisingly laid-back and easygoing, making him a great match for someone looking for a companion who enjoys both adventures and downtime.
Sumo loves other dogs and gets along well with most people. He’s especially fond of women and can be a little selective when meeting men, but with patience and kind introductions, he can build trust. He’s affectionate, incredibly smart, and loves being close to his people. If he needs comfort or help, he’ll happily come to you, showing just how connected he is to the people he loves.
He’s well-mannered out in the community, is rarely reactive, and has a gentle mouth—he’ll often “ask” before taking something instead of grabbing it. Sumo already knows several commands in English and genuinely enjoys learning and making his people proud.
Despite his Husky heritage, Sumo doesn’t need endless hours of exercise. A nice 20-minute walk every other day, along with love and companionship, is enough to keep him happy. He does experience some separation anxiety, so he’d thrive in a home where someone is around for at least part of the day. Having another friendly dog in the home may also help him feel more comfortable when left alone.
Sumo is looking for a family who will appreciate his gentle nature, intelligence, and loyal heart. If you’re searching for a sweet, devoted companion who’s ready to be your best friend, Sumo just might be the perfect fit.
