Potato is a 2.5-year old, 62-pound, Boxer/Terrier Mix longing for a loving, low-key home, where he can bask in endless cuddles and attention that he so well deserves. He is a lover at heart, and if you allow him to, he loves to pop a squat right into your lap to get as close to his favorite people as physically possible.

In his original home, where Potato was very loved, it was reported that he had significant separation anxiety – a testament to the deep bond he forms with his humans. After some time living here at Homeward Bound, he had found a wonderful home, which Potato so willingly let into his whole heart, and received all the TLC his soul could ever imagine. Potato made huge strides in taking the steps to overcome his separation anxiety, and it was reported that eventually he was able to be left alone for 1-2 hours. Because of unfortunate housing circumstances, Potato has found himself back here at Homeward Bound, where he awaits another chance at happiness. We are continuing evaluation as to how significant his separation anxiety currently is.

Potato yearns for a serene environment, free from the stressors of cats or small children. His affection is boundless, and he absolutely loves car rides, taking field trips to Tractor Supply and McDonalds, where his go-to order of a pup cup is well known by the staff members there. This dog’s heart is made of solid gold, and is the ideal shoulder to lean on during your most stressful of days. Potato is more than a pet- he is a steadfast companion ready to offer his love to anybody that is willing to take it. Will you be the light in Potato’s life he has been looking for?
