Astrid’s owner reports:
Astrid is a 60-lb, affectionate, and playful dog who loves cuddling, chasing tennis balls, and going on walks or beach adventures. She’s friendly and joyful but prefers to stay inside on rainy days. Astrid is a “Velcro dog” who thrives on companionship and would do best as the only pet in a home where someone is around most of the time. She has separation anxiety and needs an adopter who can keep her company or use management options like doggy daycare; we believe her anxiety is curable and are willing to fund some continued professional training to help with this.
Astrid has mild resource guarding tendencies with other animals she does well at daycare and parks but needs careful management if living with another dog. Because of her strong chase drive and tension with cats, she’d do best in a cat-free home (though she might coexist with a calm, dog-savvy cat).
