Chewys’ owners say.
Chewy is a loving, affectionate dog who enjoys snuggling and play. She is very smart, eager to learn, and easy to train. She has worked with a trainer and reliably responds to basic commands such as come, sit, and stay.
Although she can be cautious around new people initially, she adapts quickly and becomes friendly. She has done well with house sitters and guests. Chewy is accustomed to rural life and enjoys outdoor time with supervision. She is curious and active, though she should not be left unsupervised outdoors due to her tendency to explore.
Chewy loves to chew and play, though she tends to destroy toys and ingest pieces, so she requires careful supervision and appropriate chew options. She would likely thrive as the only pet in a calm, low-stress home where she can receive focused attention.
We are happy to provide a supply of her current food to support a gradual transition, and we would like to keep Chewy with us until she is adopted. While this decision is heartbreaking, we are committed to finding Chewy a safe, loving home that better meets her needs.
