Speak Up for Animals: Grassroots Legislative Meeting October 29

The Humane Society of the United States invites our members, supporters, and other animal advocates to join our Northeastern Regional Director, Joanne Bourbeau, to discuss current issues and learn what you can do for animals in Vermont.   The meeting will be hosted by the Homeward Bound Animal Welfare Center in their new facility and we are excited for this opportunity for Addison County animal advocates to engage with people on a statewide level.  Please join us at Homeward Bound from 6-7:30 on Tuesday the 29th.

We will discuss the current state of animal welfare legislation affecting both companion animals and farm animals, along with how you can get more involved locally and state-wide to improve their legal protections. If you’re concerned with puppy mills, farm animal welfare, or generally creating a more compassionate Vermont, please attend this free meeting, and find out what you can do to help.

Even if you’ve been to one of our grassroots events before, join us again for this unique series to meet other animal advocates, sheltering staff, and animal control representatives who share your concern for animals.
