Meet Yukon! Yukon is a beautiful and independent 3 year old Siberian Huskey. She is wonderfully mellow and content doing her own thing. She enjoys being outdoors and would love owners to bond with. Yukon does have special needs around touching her food and toys. Since she came here with us, she is no longer experiencing the type of competition for food, or resources, like she was in her previous spot. In her former life she had to guard her resources and it is a hard practice to unlearn – time, patience and consistency are all that is needed. Here with us, we give her space around her toys and food and are slowly working with her on realizing she has no need to guard anymore. She has come a long way in a few weeks and her next family should be ready to help her progress even further. She is sweet, loves affection (especially belly rubs) and has a affinity for tennis balls. She needs a home with no other animals and no children under 13.
