Rudy is a Cinnamon Turquoise Green Cheek Conure who was abandoned at Petco with a group of parakeets a couple of years ago. Rudy’s age and sex are not known, but is referred to as a ‘he.’ Rudy stayed at the store for a while before being adopted. When the new owner was no longer able to care for Rudy, her granddaughter took him in to foster until he can be placed in a permanent home.

His foster parent reports that Rudy is extremely social, playful and requires a lot of time and attention. He will parrot-scream when he wants one-on-one attention, and just being out of his cage doesn’t count as attention. He does cute things that will endear you to him like playing in his bath, being silly, hitching a ride on your shoulder, snuggling, and making funny noises. He is smart and affectionate.

Rudy needs an experienced bird person, preferably with parrots. He will bite if he is uncomfortable with a situation or agitated. Conures will bond with a person and will want that person’s full attention. Rudy does not like when other people get too close to his current foster parent or to him. He would do best in a relatively quiet home as he doesn’t like loud noises especially a loud tv or music.
