Maxine is a goofy, 57-pound, 4-year old beagle mix with a big heart!  She needs a bit of extra time to warm up to new people and gets very nervous in new situations. Shelter staff has given her the time she needs to get over her threshold with lots of yummy treats and encouragement. Maxine is very playful and likes to go for walks. Even though she’s timid, her curiosity is taking over more and more. She needs her new family to be patient while she settles in at her on pace. Maxine is dog friendly. She would do best in a home without young children.
