Lucy is a sweet and spunky young pup who came to us because her owner felt she couldn’t handle or train her . Lucy missed out on some key socialization/playtime with other dogs when she was a puppy and now she is unsure of how to make friends. She is calm in the presence of other dogs, but wants to assert dominance in play.
Lucy really wants an active home that will take her hiking, running, and on adventures. She is not a couch potato at heart. She will relax at home, but her joy is in getting out and doing things. She is learning to be more interested in toys and chews, but mostly loves people and wants to be a true part of the family.
Dogs: Lucy would love to be able to play with other dogs, but she is quite dominant. We would like to see her go to a home with no other dogs while she works on socialization.
Cats: No – Lucy chases cats in an unsafe way and becomes fixated.
Kids: Lucy is fine with kids. She is a high-energy pup and can jump and like to play rough. For this reason, we would only want to see her go to a home with older, dog-savvy kids
