Jones is part of Homeward Bound’s 3rd Party Adoption listing for Vermont animals.  Animals posted for 3^rd Party Adoption are not at the shelter. Jones is a 1.5-year old neutered male cat.  We already had a cat when we adopted Jones and they are not getting along.  Our other cat is now afraid to come out of her hiding places and we have had to make this hard decision to re-home Jones.

Jones is a sweet, chatty, feisty feline.  He loves people and attention, but on his own terms.  He can be affectionate, playful and friendly to family/visitors and loves to have someone engage in play with toys that he can chase. He doesn’t know how to play gently and does full-on teeth and claws when ‘playing’ with the other cat, so being the only cat in the home might be his destiny.  He has not been around dogs, and young children would not understand that he will play too rough with them and possibly cause injury.

Being introduced to the outdoors might help him burn off some steam and give him new experiences for mental stimulation and physical release.  At this point, he has only been an indoor cat.
