Amber is an adult cat that we simply can’t sugar-coat. We like to think that she wants to be a nice and loving cat, but she seems to enjoys smacking people out of her space. She loves catnip, and occasionally we see her playing with a toy. She does not get along with other cats in the shelter, and has not yet been tested with dogs.
Amber is a cat that needs a specific type of person – one who either doesn’t mind getting reprimanded if trying to force a friendship with her, or someone who will just share quiet space with her to allow her to come around at her own pace and become whoever she is going to be in her new home. She will need a lot of patience, but has shown enormous progress in becoming a nice(r) kitty through kindness and patience from shelter staff and volunteers.
