Tour Guidelines

Thank you for your interest in visiting Homeward Bound. We believe providing humane education is an important part of accomplishing our Mission and are happy to work with your group. The shelter is a busy place and we ask that you take a moment to read our guidelines to make sure the experience of bringing your class or group to the shelter is a positive one for everyone involved.

We request that you notify us at least 2 weeks before you would like to visit so that we may schedule accordingly and have appropriate staff available to host you. Due to the nature of our work with the animals, we are not able to accommodate groups on short-notice.

To make the most of your experience here, please consider developing a list of questions about Homeward Bound and the work we do before your arrival. It can be a great way to focus the learning! We also ask that groups make a contribution to the animals for delivering at the time of the tour. Please see our Wish List for items that we are always in need of, or children may raise money through lemonade stands, bottle drives, bake sales, or other enterprises.

If you are interested in scheduling a tour and can comply with the above guidelines, please email director@homewardboundanimals.org with your request.
